Which ones do I use?

Scroll down for descriptions and help files.

For broad coverage of all subject areas: NetLibrary. A secondary choice is Ebook Library. For reference books on all disciplines, Credo Reference.

For counseling and psychology subjects: PsycBooks.

Other databases listed in this section, Book Collection: Nonfiction, and Books in Print, are highly specialized. See descriptions for details.

For traditional, print books, use the online Library Catalog. Print books may be requested via Interlibrary Loan (ILL).

Biography Reference Bank via Wilson Web Includes full text.

Contains articles and abstracts dealing with over 500,000 people. Where full text is not available, a list of databases is provided, indicating other databases in which full text of abstracts may be found.

Designed for school libraries, contains more than 2,000 full-text books addressing many areas of school curriculum, including social studies and science.

Book Review Digest Plus via Wilson Web Includes full text.

Covering over 550,000 books, provides indexes of reviews of current fiction and non-fiction, with over 100,000 reviews in full text.

Contains publishing and pricing information with some book reviews. Useful for literature searches.

Provides lists of suggested reading in fiction and biography titles. Users may select by author, genre, timeframe, etc., to find similar titles. Reviews, excerpts, and other information are included.

Online full-text academic books geared to the Troy University curriculum.

A specially created online collection of nearly 50,000 full-text books, in a broad range of academic subject categories. These are actual academic books that have been digitized for the convenience of library users. Make sure to read HELP.

PsycBooks via EbscoHost Includes full text.

Provides more than 10,000 chapters in full text from books on psychology and counseling, including those published by the APA and many classic books of historical impact in psychology.

RCLweb

Consists of annotated lists of resources recommended by the Association of College Research Libraries for inclusion in academic libraries. The core list features 65,000 titles in 58 curriculum-specific subject, with reviews of all items.
