CRIMINAL JUSTICE AND LAW <back to choose database menu>

Which ones do I use?

Scroll down for descriptions and help files.

Your first choices should be the following databases: Criminal Justice Periodicals, LegalTrac, LexisNexis, Westlaw Campus Research.

Thomas is more highly specialized than the databases listed above, but may equally be a "first choice" if you are seeking that type information--governmental--see description for details.

A secondary choice is National Criminal Justice Reference Service.

BOOKS: Refer to the Books section of this site <click here>.

Note: To a greater extent than many other databases, criminal justice and law databases each have their own flavor, both in terms of their search interface and their content. One is not necessarily better or worse than another--just different.
