Troy provides you the ability to determine which database(s) provide the full text of articles from specific journals. 

The database named Journal Search provides a listing of all electronic periodical titles that are available in full text in at least one of the databases available through Troy University's databases.

QUESTION: Where do I find Journal Search?

ANSWER: From the Library home page, take the link for Databases, then take the link Full Text Journal Search from the left-side menu.

QUESTION: I require assistance in doing this, what should I do?

QUESTION: Is Journal Search where I go to find full text articles?
ANSWER: NO! It just helps you identify which journal databases have the text of which journals (see next question).

QUESTION: Why would I use Journal Search?
ANSWERS: 

• Your instructor indicated they would like you to use articles from specific journals (that they list). You would use Journal Search to find the appropriate database(s) to search.

• You have a citation to a specific article and need to find the text. Example: You are searching database "X" and find a great article (citation/abstract), but not the text. You would use Journal Search to see if the article is available from a different database.

QUESTION: I used Journal Search, but could not find what I was looking for; does that mean I cannot get the article? What is my next step?
ANSWER: Contact your Library personnel; we will help you. If we determine that your article is not available online, we may be able to provide it for you via Interlibrary Loan service.
