Your choices for broad coverage of the social sciences are the following four databases: Academic OneFile, Academic Search Complete, Expanded Academic ASAP, and Research Library. Coverage spans virtually every area of academic study and offers information dating as far back as 1975. |

ACLS Humanities E-Book via American Council of Learned Societies Includes over 1,700 full-text titles offered by the ACLS in collaboration with a number of learned societies, publishers, and the University of Michigan’s Scholarly Publishing Office. |

Biography Reference Bank via Wilson Web Contains articles and abstracts dealing with over 500,000 people. Where full text is not available, a list of databases is provided, indicating other databases in which full text of abstracts may be found.

Does not have current information, but is an excellent resource for background information on many topics. |

via LexisNexis A primary resource for full text journal articles, this is the gateway to a number of databases embedded within. To access these database, click the appropriate area of interest in the left-hand column. Resources include business articles, case law, law reviews, industry reports, company reports, statistics, and health care news. Clicking the various buttons at the top of their page (How Do I?, Sources, News, etc.) produces helpful information. |

American Women's Letters and Diaries Contains the full text of letters and diaries of over 1,300 women, from Colonial times until 1950, representing all age groups, ethnicities, and many geographical regions. Can be searched by authors, historical events, dates. |

Viewpoints Resource Center via InfoTrac Web A source for information on conflicting viewpoints on social issues. Geared to high school and General Studies college courses, it includes articles, topic overviews, statistics, primary documents, links to Web sites, and full-text magazine and newspaper articles. |

with Full Text via EbscoHost SocINDEX with Full Text is a very comprehensive sociology research database, featuring more than 1,300,000 records with subject headings from a 15,000 term sociology-specific thesaurus. The database contains full text for 235 "core" coverage journals dating back to 1895, and 72 "priority" coverage journals. This database also includes full text for 545 books and monographs, and full text for 6,601 conference papers. |
