eCampus and eArmyU (students not located near a physical TROY site or campus)
Welcome to your Library services! The Library Staff has created a Web site for you that explains what you need to know about the Library and how to use it. Please review this information carefully, for it will help you in all your courses. If you have any questions, contact your local TROY office or Ask a Librarian (libhelp@troy.edu).
All students have access to Library services through the TROY Global Campus (which includes eCampus and EArmyU) Library Web page, which provides a great many resources and information, via links to exceptional online materials: the Troy University online databases, including full-text periodical articles and books; the Troy University online library catalog, from which you may order books; various help pages and tutorials; selected bibliographies and course-specific guides; selected Internet search engines; and Troy University curriculum-oriented Web pages. Students also have assistance in using these resources by contacting Library staff by e-mail (Ask a Librarian) or by Live Chat.
Although the Troy University Library resources are designed to cover all your library needs, you may want to check out the local libraries. Consult the yellow pages of your phonebook for the public and academic libraries in your area. You may also access Google Maps http://maps.google.com, type in your ZIP code (or city and state) and the word library, and see what happens when you click the search button.
Some, but not all, academic libraries permit residents of the area to check out resources, either on a limited basis, or for a fee, though most of them restrict usage to on the premises. These libraries may be a back up to your TROY services, but most of your research needs will be met by the Troy University Library resources.
Let us know if you need help. You’re the best part of our job!
