THE MAJOR DUTY OF THE LIBRARY STAFF is to help students and faculty locate the materials they need, whether online, on the shelves of one of the Troy Libraries or, occasionally, in other libraries. Libraries are changing from day to day, along with information access methods. Your librarians do not expect everyone to be familiar with library procedures, especially if they have not recently had to use a library. If you need help, please ask! We can save you time and stress. Remember, you are our favorite part of the job!

QUESTIONS—The main job of the Troy University Library Services is to help students locate the materials they need, whether in print or online. Please call or email for help. We enjoy helping you!
TROY LIBRARIES BOOK COLLECTIONS—You may check out books from any of the Troy University Libraries, at Troy, Dothan, and Montgomery. You can locate books in the Troy Library Catalog, the third item on our Univesity College page. If you’re not sure how to use this, e-mail or call us, and we’ll be glad to help.
Once you’ve identified a title you want, go to Interlibrary Loan, where you will find forms to fill out requesting books (and articles). Fill out the appropriate form, hit Submit, and we’ll take care of the rest. The book will be mailed from one of the TROY Libraries directly to your home, anywhere in the Continental USA.
Please note the dates that these books are due. You may return the books to your site office or to the Library Services Office, and a staff member will return them to the appropriate library for you. If you don’t have a nearby site office, we’ll have to ask you to mail the books to the lending library yourself.
LOST MATERIALS—Lost or damaged library materials borrowed through Interlibrary Loan from Troy or other libraries, should be reported promptly to the Library Services office. Anyone who loses or damages library materials is required to pay the current price of the materials plus processing and handling charges to replace the materials.
CLEARANCE OF LIBRARY OBLIGATION -- All Library obligations must be cleared before the end of each term. A student who fails to do so may not be permitted to register for a subsequent term, receive grades, or secure a transcript from the University.
COMPUTERS—In the Troy University Florida Office, there are two computers with Internet Access and Microsoft Office that are available in Room 3 for student use. If this room is locked, please request key from the desk in the lobby.

Eglin AFB Library
Eglin base library generously extends library privileges to those non-military students who are taking a class on the base. Eglin base library maintains a wide array of periodicals and books. To obtain a card, take your registration receipt for the current term to the circulation desk, where your information will be processed and library privileges established.
